Christian terrorists have released a Defensive Action Statement in an attempt to justify political assassination. The same day Christian terrorist Scott Roeder admits killing Dr. George Tiller, his fellow Christian terrorists released their "Defensive Action Statement 3rd Edition" that proclaims any force that can be used to defend the life of a "born child is legitimate to defend the life of an unborn child." (AP)
The strident opponents of abortion want Roeder's jurors to be allowed to consider the "question of when life begins" in deciding whether lethal force was justified. Their statement that proclaims any force that can be used to defend the life of a "born child is legitimate to defend the life of an unborn child" is an attempt to justify the assassination of Dr. Tiller.
The statement's 21 signers include Eric Rudolph, James Kopp and Shelley Shannon — all serving prison time for targeting providers of women's reproductive health care.
The argument that it should be legal to use lethal force to protect a fetus is ludicrous. Abortion is legal. How can it ever be legally justified to murder (assassinate) someone who has broken no law? No competent jury would go along with such faulty reasoning.
In reality the Christian terrorists strategy is neither competent, nor rational; the strategy of the Christian terrorist, aside from terror and political assassination, is simply an emotional appeal to religious superstition.

Great article! Scary thinking. Tweeted it for you!
There is a an anti-constitutional movement among these christianists, often called Domionists. Between killing a doctor who aborts God's ectopic mistakes, and a dittohead who shoot at children in a Univeralist Unitarian church, I can only hope people like you keep these stories, these realities, alive for us to think about.

Under Nazi law, the internment and execution of various groups was 'legal.' Are you claiming it would have been wrong to oppose that with lethal force?
I favor legal abortion, because I've seen the alternative and it was worse. But these anti-abortion activists are at least logically consistent - which most are not.
Why did jews live in Germany? Why did they stay after they were put in labor camps? Why do they still have such a hard on for German women? And why do you use a nationalist uprising in a country decades ago to relate to the actions of anti-German, American, fanatical christians?
Seven bone heads from Arkansas got nothin' on 30 million Islamic terrorists worldwide, but hey, let's not lose perspective.
that is just messed up

We hung people from Germany for war crimes including fewer executions than have occurred in this country in the form of the slaughter of unborn children. If liberals want to abort themselves I can only pray for them. If they want all of us to be complicit and choose to force us to pay for their actions they do so at their peril. I would wager that we will see more action and not words in the future unless pro-abortion proponants modify their position on demanding compliance and acceptancne from all.
By the same token, using the Bible and the command to respect the temporal authority then it is justifiable for the government to deal the same way toward those breaking the law by murdering health workers,so that they to can be killed by government agents as well as those promoting and supporting illegal acts of violence and murder in the name of God. An unwise judgement that will make enemies for all Christians."All authority is ordained by God and those who rebel against it do so to the judgement and damnation of their own souls." St. Paul, speaking of the need to be subject to the saecular powers and laws. Better ways to resolve these issues are needed. All parties rights must be respected.
The bible isn't "the authority of God". It is an ever-changing collection of tall tales spawned by bored middle eastern savages. Americans need to dump this doomsday cult and move on.
