Will Joanna Krupa get the "Howard Stern bump"?
Dancing with the Stars contestant Joanna Krupa has a great chance to take home the Season 9 mirror ball trophy. In addition to ranking number one with the Dancing with the Stars judges on Tuesday night, Joanna Krupa has a connection to reality show voting trendsetter Howard Stern.
Before Joanna Krupa scored her gig on Dancing with the Stars, she was Miss Howard TV December 2007. Howard Stern fans are a powerful voting block. American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar admits that Howard Stern's 2007 command that his listeners vote for the ridiculed crooner helped him stay on the show.
Joanna Krupa needs to tread lightly on this one. When Howard 100 News reporter Lisa Glasberg interviewed Joanna Krupa about her Dancing with the Stars appearance, there was a sense that Krupa was minimizing her connection to The Howard Stern Show. If Howard Stern gets wind that the "world's sexiest swimsuit model" wants to downplay her connection with the show, Krupa might suffer at the hands of vindictive fans who pile on the votes for her opponents.
Joanna Krupa was ranked number one by Dancing with the Stars judges after the ladies' first night of competition, so the "Howard Stern bump" likely won't come into play until later rounds of the competition.
