Actor Gary Coleman was hospitalized Friday after a seizure on the set of the entertainment gossip news program The Insider in Los Angeles. Celebrity Rehab guru and friend of the Howard Stern Show Dr. Drew Pinsky provided emergency medical treatment for Gary Coleman while crew members waited for paramedics to arrive.

Gary Coleman was appearing on The Insider to discuss the recent domenstic violence charges filed by his wife. Dr. Drew Pinsky was on set to offer a medical perspective on the day's entertainment gossip headlines.

Dr. Drew Pinsky is a recurring guest on the Howard Stern Show and recently appeared live on the show to promote his latest season of Celebrity Rehab. Dr. Drew has been frequently consulted on the show regarding troubled co-host Artie Lange.

Producers of Dr. Drew Pinsky's Celebrity Rehab approached Artie Lange to participate in the latest season of the show for $250,000. Lange turned down the offer and called Pinsky's tactics "exploitive". Lange is currently undergoing treatment at an undisclosed location after a violent suicide attempt in early January. Dr. Drew Pinsky visited Artie Lange in the hospital shortly after the attempt.

Gary Coleman has been a frequent guest on the Howard Stern Show in recent weeks. The diminutive actor, best known for his role on the 80s sitcom Diff'rent Strokes. Coleman gave Stern an extensive interview by phone on January 11th, 2010 during which he expressed anger about nude footage of him on the set of his most recent film being released without his consent. The call inspired much discussion on the Howard Stern Show about whether Coleman's outrage was for real or whether or not he was trying to promote his film by fomenting controversy.
