Twilight: New Moon called "unbelievably bad"
The
Howard Stern Show returned live on Monday morning, and
Howard Stern offered his own personal "King of All Media" review of the box office megahit
Twilight: New Moon. Not only did Howard Stern call the film "unbelievably bad," Stern laid into
Twilight: New Moon director Chris Weitz: "This one was so bad," said Stern. "The director f---ing blew it."
Howard Stern attended a special screening of Twilight: New Moon at the Cinema Society in New York City the night before the film's American premiere. Howard Stern stated in previous broadcasts that he was looking forward to the film's release. "I'll watch anything with vampires," the media mogul has said repeatedly.
Howard Stern had some specific critiques about just what made Twilight: New Moon so excuciatingly bad. "The story is that this young man is turning into a werewolf and they don't even show you a f---ing thing!" he ranted to his co-hosts. Stern also said that the film's special effects made the posse of young men look like "cartoon werewolves".
The experience wasn't a total loss for Stern though. Howard took his 16-year-old daughter Ashley Stern to the red carpet premiere. "I was a big hero with my daughter," he added on Monday morning's HSS broadcast.
Maybe it's a guy thing. After Howard Stern's unforgiving review of Twilight: New Moon,
The makers of Twilight: New Moon are probably not sweating Stern's negative review. Twilight: New Moon topped the box office charts for the second weekend in a row this week and has already grossed more than $200 million in ticket sales.
