Taconic wrong-way crash driver to be exhumed says lawyer Dominic Barbara

Dominic Barbara, the lawyer in the wrong-way crash case that killed eight people on the Taconic Parkway in July, is a close friend of Howard Stern and frequent call-in guest on The Howard Stern Show.  Barbara’s involvement in the wrong-way crash on the Taconic Parkway case has brought him a taste of the national media attention he so desperately craves.

Dominic Barbara is representing Daniel Schuler whose deceased wife Diane Schuler was the driver in the infamous Taconic Parkway wrong-way crash.  Dominic Barbara scored a spot on Larry King Live this week where he announced that the body of Diane Schuler would be exhumed.  Schuler’s family is hoping to prove that autopsy results showing she was heavily intoxicated at the time of the crash belonged to someone else.  Dominic Barbara told Larry King “we have enough cause and reason to do it.”  Many of the families of the victims of the Taconic Parkway crash are furious over the efforts to exonerate Schuler.

Dominic Barbara has been a regular call-in guest on The Howard Stern Show for more than a decade, and regularly takes credit for Howard Stern’s relationship with his second wife Beth Ostrosky.  Stern and Ostrosky are said to have first consummated their relationship at Barbara’s vacation home.  Howard Stern has called Barbara “desperate for fame.”
