Star Trek accords: Shatner and Takei agree to televised conflict resolution

Star Trek 'Classic' stars William Shatner and George Takei have agreed to a televised conflict resolution meeting mediated by Howard Stern.

William Shatner and George Takei have had a public feud since Shatner's claim that he was not invited to George Takei's wedding to his longtime partner Brad in October 2008. George Takei claims that Shatner was indeed invited and declined to attend. Shatner characterized the anger between the two of them as "white hot" on Tuesday morning's Howard Stern Show broadcast.

Now, Howard Stern has convinced both Shatner and Takei to publicly air their grievances on William Shatner's new interview show Raw Nerve on the Bio channel. Howard Stern will act as ombudsman in a debate that already has Star Trek nerds drooling in their shiny red Star Trek Underoos.

Howard Stern has insisted that he, Takei and Shatner all wear Star Trek admirals' uniforms during the interview.

George Takei aka Sulu, from the classic Star Trek series, has become the official announcer of the Howard Stern Show and frequently guest stars on the satellite radio broadcast.

I remember when they first hatched this idea months ago and nothing ever came of it - I was saddened. I am now elated to hear this glorious news!!
