When media megastar Howard Stern attended the Cinema Society screening of Twilight: New Moon with his wife and daughter last week, he had no idea how hard it would be to actually rub elbows with stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.  Howard Stern revealed on Monday morning's broadcast of the Howard Stern Show that his daughter Ashley Stern tried to approach Robert Pattinson during at the Twilight: New Moon premiere and was "pushed away" by security.

Howard Stern tried to give his 16-year-old daughter another chance to meet up with Robert Pattinson at the official Twilight: New Moon screening after party at "The Box" in Manhattan, but was foiled again. The after-party was "so packed I couldn't move" said Stern, who is notorious for avoiding crowded social scenes. After pooping on the Princess of All Media by birthright's parade, Robert Pattinson and co-star Kristen Stewart added insult to injury by not even showing up at "The Box" party and taking off for a more private scene.

 

Howard Stern jokingly added that in a few years, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be begging for attention at on of those $10/autograph signing tables like the ones that Mickey Rourke and his has-been wrestler buddies set up in The Wrestler.  Until then, though, Ashley Stern's going to be stuck scoring prom date with the likes High Pitch Mike and Baba Booey.
