The news of Robert Schimmel's death hit the comedy community hard Friday night.
The Howard Stern Show regular was a close friend to many of the biggest names in the comedy community. As the news of Schimmel's death spread over Twitter late Friday, many comedians tweeted remembrances and tributes to the man who made laughing about cancer and divorce fun again.
Robert Schimmel was 60 years old.
