Perez Hilton shouldn't count on getting invited back on the Howard Stern Show any time soon after the famed gossip blogger filed an erroneous report about Artie Lange getting booted from the Howard Stern Show just hours after the story broke about Artie Lange's tragic suicide attempt.
Perez Hilton reported Thursday afternoon:
"Sources tell us there are whispers that Sirius XM is going to let Artie Lange go, but they're waiting until he's in stable condition to break the news to him."
We're also told that Sirius XM CEO Mel Karmazin has already informed host Howard Stern about the news."
Howard 100 News reporter Steve Langford wasn't having it. Langford broke in to an afternoon rerun of Thursday morning's Howard Stern Show broadcast with a report refuting the Perez Hilton story. Howard Stern Show producer Tim Sabean told Steve Langford:
“It is absolutely false. Artie is very much a part of these channels, and we look forward to Artie’s fast recovery, and we wish him all the best.”
