Howard Stern admitted Tuesday that he admires conservative FOX News pundit and former "drunken Zookeeper" Glenn Beck.
Stern made the statement during Tuesday morning's Howard Stern Show discussion of Glenn Beck's 'Restoring Honor' rally.

"He's smart," Stern said of Glenn Beck before capping off the compliment with the back of his hand. "I mean, the guy was like an awful 'Morning Zookeeper'...He was kind of a broken down f---in' drunk DJ. So he's a drunk and he goes to AA and they start telling him about God and he goes 'what the f---?'. I'll be like a Rush Limbaugh type conservative drunk."

Stern poked fun at liberals upset by Beck's 'Restoring Honor' rally on Monday morning's Howard Stern Show broadcast, stating that the uproar over the event was just fueling the Glenn Beck fire. "You really want to upset Glenn Beck?" said Stern. "Ignore him. Stop talking about the guy."

Once Stern heard audio clips from the rally, though, he couldn't take his own advice. He launched into 45 minutes of riffing off clips from the 'Restoring Honor' rally
"He's a douche, but a smart douche," said Stern in semi-reverence. "And he loves it, because all those f---ing jerkoffs that watch him on TV showed up at that monument. It was like 80,000 people. It was pretty impressive and they seem to be counting on him to give some sort of message. But it is--it's the whole AA rap...Who wants to hear from a drunken Zookeeper about faith and charity? Do I need him to tell me what to do? And why do I want to feed into his fame? Even if I'm a fan of the show. I watch his show. I wouldn't show up and give him that. It's annoying making him that rich."
"That's all it does," said Howard Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers. "It doesn't change anything but his bottom line."

First Howard, I have been a listener of yours for over 20 years, but you are being plain dishonest. I was at the rally and I am not a douche. There were 200,000 people lined up just around the reflecting pool. The more acurate attendace numbers are well over 600,000. Does that bother you? I mean that so many people would go to hear his message. It does'nt dimish you in any way. You are still the king of all media. I am asking you to be honest about the Beck rally. That is all

There weren't 200k people there. There weren't even 100k people. I live in DC and the over exaggerations come everytime a group is trying to show it's strength in numbers. CBS hired a professional crowd counting firm this time and they pegged the number in the high 80,000's to low 90,000's which falls in line with the park police estimate. So as many people were there as were at the last superbowl. A sizeable crowd crowd for a rally of racists, be proud.
Glenn Beck is a fraud and a racist. His followers are douchebags that didn't vote for Obama in the first place. Howard regularly mocks Sarah Palin and Beck. All the videos on youtube where people were interviewed show stupid people who don't understand government. This is the crowd you admire. Good for you but know this... You're dumb.

1. Since when does Howard lecture about faith and charity? Howard does a comedy show. BUT, he also does provide a lot of insights, and you can take them or leave them. Most people would be better off taking them because Howard knows his shit and tells it like it is.
