Joe Buck says his beleaguered talk show experiment Joe Buck Live will likely be canceled by HBO after it's fourth and final contracted show airs this month.
In an interview with KSLG radio in St. Louis Thursday, Buck stated: “I don’t think there will be another episode of Joe Buck Live."
The sportscaster said that the project had been more trouble than it was worth, in his opinion: "There was a lot more behind the scenes and a lot more effort and hassle than I ever expected, and that goes from booking guests to actually getting guests there to, obviously, the Artie Lange thing in the first show".

The premiere of Joe Buck Live made headlines last June when Howard Stern Show co-host Artie Lange turned in an off color performance as a panelist during the show's discussion portion. The episode included Lange roasting Buck for his weak attempts at comedy and closed out with Lange sarcastically spewing: "Sorry to ruin your GREAT show".
Joe Buck, steaming and glistening liked a stewed tomato, replied to Lange awkwardly: “I appreciate the apology, because you have.”

Searches for video of Artie Lange's Joe Buck Live performance stayed at the top of Google Trends for more than a week after Buck's public humiliation. HBO President Ross Greenberg announced that Lange was no longer welcome on the HBO Sports channel.
Joe Buck and Artie Lange reconciled publicly after the controversial appearance and even collaborated on a (pre-taped) bit about Buck running away from Lange for the second Joe Buck Live episode.

Buck told KSLG that he hopes that he may bring a similar sports talk show project to Fox.
Artie Lange is currently recovering at an undisclosed treatment facility after a violent suicide attempt in January.

Just call the game Joe.
I can't stand the guy. I'm glad they dropped the hammer on his show.
Artie was hilarious, I don't see what the problem is other than overly sensitive whiners having no sense of humor,I mean cant a normal american male make a joke anymore?
I know HBO was trying to appeal to middle america with Joe Buck live and I'm sure since their programmers can't relate to middle america they figured Joe Buck was logical choice but its so lame. Dude is not funny at all. If his dad wasn't an announcer there isn't a chance in hell that he'd have a career announcing - zero
