howard stern show greatest moments of 2009 09 video complete list top 36 number one baba booey

The Howard Stern Show has released their official list of the Greatest Moments of the Howard Stern Show 2009.  The list includes the 36 Howard Stern Show moments from the 2009 season that were deemed to be most memorable, entertaining and influential of the year.  Sirius XM's Spider Harrison announced the list in an American-Top-40 style countdown over the course of Thanksgiving week 2009.

The complete list of the Greatest Moments of the Howard Stern Show 2009 follows the poll below:

#36: Lisa G has a D-Cup: When Howard 100 News reporter Lisa G went to have her official, proper bra size fitted at The Town Shop in Manhattan, the entire cast and crew of the Howard Stern Show assumed the famous brassiere-smiths would tell Lisa G that her cup size was much smaller than the 'C' she'd been claiming. Lisa G turned the tables on the naysayers by returning with the news that the famous lingerie tailors had measured her correct size to be a whopping 32D.

#35: Bob Levy Spelling Bee: When friend of the Howard Stern Show Bob Levy revealed his illiteracy while trying to record a chapter of Artie Lange's audio book last year, Howard Stern Show producers knew they'd tapped into radio gold. The Bob Levy Spelling Game joined the ranks of the Homeless Game and the Amish Game as one of the greatest Howard Stern Show call-in games of all times.

#34: Howard Stern responds to the death of Ted Kennedy: The Howard Stern Show was on vacation when Ted Kennedy (one of Stern's favorite celebs to imitate) finally kicked the bucket.  Howard Stern made it up to his audience by returning to the air the next Monday morning in character as Ted Kennedy and launching into a 20 minute rant about what life after death was like for the iconic Senator.

#33: Kevin Nealon interview: The interview with the former SNL regular examined Nealon's prior relationship with Jan Hooks and his marriage to his hot new wife Susan Yeagley. Nealon also gave the Howard Stern Show audience some exclusive behind the scenes information on how he landed a part on Saturday Night Live.

#32: Benjy shows up late: Howard Stern laid into Howard Stern Show writer Benjy Bronk for his chronic lateness in a classic tyrannical tirade. The Howard Stern Show writer was forced to wear a dildo-adorned Dunce Cap as part of his punishment.

#31: Norm MacDonald interview: When one of Artie Lange's best buddies Norm MacDonald stopped by the show to promote some upcoming comedy appearances, the Howard Stern Show audience got a rare chance to hear the two riff off each other.

#30: "Howard-You're a sucker!": When Sal the Stockbroker's 'financial advisor' used Howard Stern's name to get himself a totally free party at Rick's Cabaret, Howard chewed him out live on the air in a piece of tape that had the entire HSS audience in their cars going: "Oooooooooooo,....you are in TROOOOUUUUUUBLLLLLE,..."

#29: Seth MacFarlane interview: The mega-millionaire creator of Family Guy gave Howard Stern a candid interview about his career, his feud with South Park  Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and even dropped a few details about his personal life.  MacFarlane's visit inspired Howard Stern Show writer Richard Christy to offer to let Sal ejaculate on his back live on-air for a chance to shake his comedic hero's hand, but Howard Stern spared his audience the auditory trauma.

#28: Gadget Gary is a Techno Beaver: When 'Sound & Vision' magazine wrote a story about Baba Booey's love of technology and entitled it 'Gadget Gary,' they subjected the Stern Show producer to a whole new host of insults which resulted in him being renamed 'Techno Beaver.'

#27: Quentin Tarantino interview: Howard Stern's interview with Quentin Tarantino made international entertainment news headlines when Tarantino revealed that he had smoked hash with Brad Pitt during the planning of Inglourious Basterds while Angelina Jolie was in a French hospital recovering from birthing twins.  Tarantino's slip came just days after Brad Pitt appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher stating that he'd gone sober ages ago for the sake of the kids.

#26: Gary says 'Artie Lies About Everything': A classic episode in the saga of Artie Lange's intermittent sobriety, Howard Stern Show producer Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate set off Artie Lange when he offhandedly proclaimed on 'The Wrap-Up Show': "Artie Lies about everything".  The on-air fight that ensued made for classic Stern Show drama.

#25: Rosie O'Donnell interview: Howard Stern's interview with the one time frequent subject of his ridicule Rosie O'Donnell was so good that O'Donnell was immediately approached by Sirius XM to start a show of her own.  The result was 'Rosie Radio' which can now be heard weekdays on Sirius 102 and XM 155.

#24: Sal ruins a party: The reports of how Sal Governale ruined a friend's 40th birthday party with his drunken, disgusting and completely offensive antics was pure gold for Howard Stern Show listeners who love to hate the perpetual ne'er-do-well Howard Stern Show writer.

#23: Sacha Baron Cohen as 'Bruno' interview: When Sacha Baron Cohen visited the Howard Stern Show studio as Bruno, he took the opportunity to examine the private parts of exhibitionist staff writers Richard Christy and Sal Governale.  His review?  Richard’s private area was “fantastic”.  And Sal’s?  “Disgraceful.”

#22: Howard 100 News has a new sign-off: When a random caller pointed out to Howard that most reporterse for legitimate news sources end their sign-offs by saying the name of the station rather than their own name, he launched Howard into a neurotic tirade that resulted in the Howard 100 News reporters switching up their sign-offs in a way that showed proper reverence for the King of All Media.

#21: Cockaoke: Richard and Sal, who continue to insist that they have no homosexual tendencies, introduced the concept of 'Cockaoke' in which Sal shoved a microphone in his underpants and had Richard Christy sing into it.

#20: JD cancels Ronnie's show: When Howard Stern gave JD the power to cancel Ronnie the Limo Driver's radio show about cars, the Howard Stern Show's Mambo-cologne-loving security man's head nearly imploded.

#19: 'Whose Dad is It? Game': The Howard Stern Show cast revealed some of the most messed up things about their dads and made people guess: 'Whose Dad is it?'

#18: Howard's Dog-Training Techniques: "NOOOO!"": When Scott DePace revealed that he hits his dog Cookie with a newspaper, Howard Stern attempted to retrain the Stern Show Howard TV producer with the verbal command he uses on his own dog, a bellowing, forceful: "NOOOOOOO!"

#17: Francis Ford Coppola interview: The iconic director visited the Howard Stern Show studios and gave out some hot background info on the making of 'The Godfather,' including how Coppola almost got himself kicked off his own set multiple times.

#16: Robin wears a 36G: Robin Quivers visited The Town Shop in Manhattan to get an official sizing for her 'pendulous breasts'. After years of hearing songs written about her DD cup size, Robin Quivers shocked the Howard Stern Show audience with the news that her real cup size is a whopping 'G'.

#15: Russell Brand interview: The British comedian that was once an object of Howard Stern Show ridicule won over the cast with his refusal to stop being a total weirdo. and his candid answers to questions about his earliest sexual experiences and his previous penchant for prostitutes.

#14: The 'I'm Dumb as a Rock': The Howard Stern Show introduced a new game in which a bevy of bimbos tried to answer super basic trivia questions, failed and were then forced to proclaim "I'm dumb as a rock" in order to plug their websites.  Perhaps the finest moment of the 'I'm Dumb as a Rock' game came when one of the contestants was asked: "What is a carnivore?" and responded: "A big truck."

#13: Dustin Hoffman interview: Academy Award-winning acting icon Dustin Hoffman won $5,000 for charity and $5,000 for a Howard Stern Show listener when he called in to the show during his morning workout on the exercise bike. Dustin Hoffman's interview was one of the most candid of the year and gave listeners awesome details about Hoffman's early days trying to break into the business with pals Gene Hackman and Robert Duvall.

#12: Seth Rogen sits in on 'Wheel of Sex': Professional pothead/actor Seth Rogen interview came to a wild end when the ladies competing to score plugs by playing 'Wheel of Sex' welched on their sexual promises and created a crazy on-air fight.  Neither of the porn stars were will to be farted on while singing or receive a signature 'Chocolate Bandit Mask' from Sal Governale and both of the 'ladies' were bounced from the studio.

#11: Artie Lange's 'Joe Buck Live' blowout: Artie Lange blew the top off the premiere episode of Joe Buck Live in an appearance that got him permanently banned from HBO Sports forever (until they incoprorated him into the second episode).  Artie Lange claimed the show's producers told him to go wild, so he thought it was okay for him to curse and dominate the panel discussion. The epic analysis that followed on the Howard Stern Show fulfilled fans' deep-seated hunger for more episodes in the Artie Lange Saga.

#10: Reggie Jackson interview: Baseball legend Reggie Jackson gave Howard Stern a down and dirty interviewed that revealed Jackson's Viagra usage and his penchant for masturbation.

#9: 'You've been Richard Christy'ed': The perpetually filthy Richard Christy announced to the Howard Stern Show community that he was suffering from a disgusting skin infection known as 'MRSA'. After freaking out the germaphobic Howard, Richard burst into the studio, announced his skin infection was a fake he created with stage make-up and proclaimed 'You've been Richard Christy'ed!' The ensuing lambasting he received from Howard was epic.

#8: Hugh Jackman interview: The 'X-Men: Wolverine' star talked openly about rumors that he's gay and dished the dirt about what goes on at Oprah Winfrey's dinner parties.

#7: Gary's barstools: Gary 'Baba Booey' Dell'Abate spent a small fortune on some very uncomfortable marble-topped barstools for his new home theater. What might have been overlooked as nothing more than an odd interior decorating choice turned into an epic roasting and insult-fest which brought the tormented Howard Stern Show producer with in an inch of his sanity.

#6: Paul McCartney interview: Howard Stern's interview with Paul McCartney brought inside details on the coolest living Beatles' single life, rumors about John Lennon and commentary of Ringo's 'Peace and Love' announcement that he wasn't doing any more autographs--ever.

#5: Robin Quivers orders $800 bottles of wine: Back in January, Howard Stern made the grave mistake of allowing resident wine snob Robin Quivers order wine for the table when they were out to dinner one night. Robin ordered 3 bottles of 'special wine for a special occasion' that cost $800 a pop. Howard's on-air expose of Robin's wino-spending-spree provoked Quivers into hissing: "Don't ever take me to dinner again!"

#4: Ron Howard interview: When Director Ron Howard stopped by the Howard Stern Show to promote 'Angels & Demons' back in May, the cast loved the inside scoop the former child star dished out on working with Hollywood's biggest movie stars and seeing his daughter act naked on stage. Best of all though, when Howard Stern showed Ron Howard a clip of Baba Booey throwing out the first pitch at the Mets' game, Ron Howard stated unapologetically: "He throws like a girl."

#3: Robin scores off the charts on 'Narcissism Test': When Dr. Drew Pinsky gave members of the Howard Stern Show cast a 'narcissism test,' everyone suspected that the King of All Media himself would score higher than average--and he did. Howard Stern scored an 18 on Dr. Drew's 'narcissism scale,' while most celebrities average a score of about 15. What no one anticipated was that Dr. Drew would report that Howard Stern Show news mistress Robin Quivers would score a 34--a score that Pinsky quantified as 'off the charts' as well as being the highest score in the history of the test.

#2: Denise Richards interview: Howard Stern used to rip on the gorgeous actress-turned-reality star, until she showed up in the studio this June and told him everything he wanted to know about her messy divorce with Charlie Sheen, what Richie Sambora's like in bed and her own history of making sex tapes. What gave the Denise Richards interview the edge over other superstar interviews this past year? Maybe the fact that she didn't bat an eyelash when she was asked to talk about oral sex by Wack Packer 'Jeff the Drunk'.

And the Number One greatest moment of the Howard Stern Show for 2009:

#1: GARY'S FIRST PITCH: Any Howard Stern fan saw this title coming from a mile away.  Howard Stern Show producer Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate threw out the first pitch at the Mets' game back in May, an honor that he prepped for both physically and psychologically for weeks.  Booey even had a chat with a sports psychologist who tried to coach him through his performance anxiety. The pitch that resulted from Gary's blood, sweat and tears was the most flimsily flung pitch in MLB history.  Officially. A representative for Major League Baseball announced on Twitter this summer that Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate's first pitch had officially garnered the honor of 'Worst First Pitch in MLB History' behind embarrassing performances by Mariah Carey, Serena Williams and the Mayor of Cincinnati.  Booey's pitch continues to make the blooper reels of sportscasters across the nation to this day.

The first episode of the Howard Stern Show after Gary's wild pitch was pandemonium--rebroadcasts of the pitch from every conceivable angle, piercing cascades of insults from co-host Artie Lange and a desperate series of pleas from Baba Booey for everyone to 'get it out of their system'.

Fat Chance Fla Fla Flo Hi.

Gary's wild pitch has now become an iconic piece of Howard Stern Show history--immortalized in parody songs, YouTube video mock tributes and daily insults still being lobbed at the Howard Stern Show producer. The pitch was so bad that Howard Stern revealed that it prompted his infinitely kind, caring and compassionate wife Beth O to blurt out: "He throws like a girl!"

The only thing that sucked about Gary's first pitch winning the title of Greatest Howard Stern Show Moment of 2009?  The ensuing lambasting of Ta-Ta-Toothie was so hilarious, many Howard Stern Show fans had to pull their cars over on the way to work to avoid driving into the cars in front of them while they pissed themselves with laughter.

The Howard Stern Show returns live on Monday, November 30th on Sirius Channels 100 and 101.
