Howard Stern Show regular Robert Schimmel "sounds like he needs a miracle" to survive injuries he sustained in a car accident this weekend, according to Howard 100 news reporter Lisa G.
Schimmel was a passenger in a car being driven by his 19-year-old daughter when she swerved to avoid another car and rolled their vehicle several times off the side of the freeway. Schimmel's daughter and 11-year-old son, who was also in the car, suffered only minor injuries.

Howard 100 News reporter Lisa G brought an update on Schimmel's condition to the HSS cast on Monday morning's broadcast.
"I know he's heavily sedated and that he took the brunt of the accident," Lisa G told Howard Stern and co-host Robin Quivers. "Bob’s manager I spoke to last and he said 'Bob can use all the good thoughts and wishes that are possible, and if anyone can bring that kind of support it’s your audience'.”
Stern prodded Lisa G for more specifics on Schimmel's injuries, but the fiddling in-house defecator remained cryptic about what she knew. "They're just very serious," she said of Schimmel's injuries. "It just sounds like he needs a miracle."
Robert Schimmel visited the Howard Stern Show in January 2010 to discuss his new book 'Cancer on $5 A Day' and to announce his new diagnosis of cirrhosis of the liver.
