The film focuses on a disgruntled priest who looks to regain his faith by saving a possessed teenager, but star Ashley Bell told MovieWeb that she's not trying to be Linda Blair. Bell says director Daniel Stamm told her to go another way with her portrayal of demonic consumption. "You know," said Bell. "Actually in preparation, Daniel said to watch all of 'The Exorcist' movies and then to not do that."
