Artie Lange has been released from Jersey City Medical Center according to an ABC News report on Friday morning.
Artie Lange was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center last Saturday morning after a suicide attempt by stabbing in his Hoboken, New Jersey apartment. The ABC News/AP report stated that Hoboken Police Detective Mark Competello stated that Artie Lange had been released.
The news of Artie Lange's release from the hospital may come as a shock to fans who just learned about the circumstances of the Howard Stern Show sidekick's hospitalization a mere 24 hours ago.
During Thursday's tense Howard Stern Show broadcast, co-host Robin Quivers stated that it was a "miracle" that Artie Lange was alive.
Despite reports from professional poop-farmer Perez Hilton that Artie Lange is about to be fired from the Howard Stern Show, producer Tim Sabean stated Thursday:
“It is absolutely false. Artie is very much a part of these channels, and we look forward to Artie’s fast recovery, and we wish him all the best.”

I hope he wasn't walking around. WTPh? Stay put dude and get well. Let your mom and sister run your errands.
I just wonder if it really was a suicide attempt and not a murder attempt instead. I mean.. I know Artie has had a sorted past but one would think that someone who has used drugs and alchohol would use that as a means of attempting suicide, not stabbing oneself. Or perhaps that's what I'd prefer this all to turn out to be, I just have a hard time dealing with that Artie would try to kill himself. He has brought me so much entertainment over the years. The world would be a less bright place should he leave us.
