Artie Lange loses Hoboken, NJ mayoral campaign to Dawn Zimmer
Turnout for Tuesday's election was low. Just over 12,000 cast their ballots in a city of nearly 40,000.
NJ.com has reported that Artie Lange may have received just a single vote in Tuesday's election.
Dawn Zimmer earned a commanding 42.92% of the vote (97% of precincts reporting) in Tuesday's election. Artie Lange was not listed as an official candidate on the ballot, but with only 22 write-in votes being cast overall, it doesn't appear that the pancake-loving comedian made much of an impact. Today's election for the Hoboken Mayor resulted from the arrest of previous Hoboken
Mayor Peter Cammarano for his involvement in an international money-laundering scheme in June, just three weeks after he took office.
