Artie Lange calls in sick week two: the saga continues

Howard Stern Show fans who tuned in to hear the return of Artie Lange on Monday morning were treated to the news that the controversy-embroiled comedian would be missing work once again.  Howard Stern started out Monday morning's show with the announcement that Artie Lange had sent yet another cryptic text message announcing that he was not coming in to the Sirius XM studios.

"I love Artie, but boy he's got a lot of issues.  I don't know what's going on--and I kind of don't want to know what's going on.

Howard Stern didn't read Artie Lange's text message to the Howard Stern Show audience stating that he wasn't sure if the message was intended to be shared with listeners, but Stern teased his audience by passing the text message to co-host Robin Quivers who responded "I thought he was being given something to prevent that."

Prevent what?  A drug relapse?  Violent, disabling depression?

Howard Stern Show listeners called in to ask Howard Stern to read Artie Lange's brief text message, but Stern responded that Artie Lange will come in to the studio "eventually" and that that's "Artie's story to tell."

Eventually, Howard Stern will have to let the the Baby Gorilla out of the bag.

You can't put what Robin said in quotes if you paraphrase. She didn't say what you said she said. She specifically said "I just thought there was something being given to prevent that." If you look at it that way, it almost sounds like H1N1.

She also immediately asked howard something like: "do YOU ever get so depressed you don't want to come to work". I got the impression it was depression related due to his father, because Howard also said something like "He's been dealing with this almost his whole life".

Hey, no retraction regarding your screw up on Thursdays article you printed. You stated that he called into the show, when it was clearly his pre recorded voice being dubbed in to sound like a conversation between him and Howard at that time. Idiot.

I heard someone on Sirius today say that Artie was brain dead and on life support after a relapse. That came from a "un-named source" from Howard's world.I'll believe it when I see it.

Artie needs to QUIT and be a man!!!!

Howard has been way too kind to Artie. Any other job and Artie would have been FIRED already!!!!

Howard needs to FIRE Artie already and stop enabling his dysfunctional behavior!!!! Artie needs intense psycotherapy for his obvious addictions and mental health problems. Once Artie gets the help needed and has sobriety under control, he will be employable again.

Until then, enabling his destructuive ways is not helping him-Artie. I knew Artie was still not well when he went on the Joe Buck Show, making an ass out of himself, and his awful and rude behavior towards Lisa G.
