American Idol producers got the poison out Thursday night with announcements that both Ellen Degeneres and Kara DioGuardi would be leaving the judges' panel. Actual singers Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are rumored to be their replacements. Howard Stern predicted the shake up months ago.

Howard Stern said both Degeneres and DioGuardi would be gone at the end of American Idol season nine during a May 2010 on-air rant.
"Ellen Degeneres looks like a total loser now," raved Stern on the May 12, 2010 Howard Stern Show broadcast. "She--she showed up and the ratings are going down. She's an embarrassment. They're going to get rid of her. Kara DioGuardi, they're going to get rid of her. She's horrible. She's an eye-roller. You're like, 'Just shut up so you--just move on to Simon. Just shut up. You're so boring. And let Simon talk and stop interrupting. We know you don't agree with him. Shut the f’ up. You're annoying. Randy can let Simon talk. Why can't you? What are you? Who are you? When did you get on the show?"

Ellen Degeneres announced she was leaving the show via press release on Thursday, stating that the decision had been hers entirely. Howard Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers wasn't buying it, quickly tweeting: "Ellen, you're fired."
Kara DioGuardi was given no such opportunity to gracefully exit her American Idol journey--no chorus of "You Had A Bad Day" to sing her out with a montage of her finest moments. DioGuardi's unemployment status was announced unceremoniously by TMZ.

Howard Stern, who's currently at home bathing in a tub full of Kara DioGuardi's tears, won't be back to comment on the story until the Howard Stern Show returns live on August 9th.
