If there are any futbol fanaticos on your holiday list this year, it won't be difficult to find the perfect soccer gift ... or start your World Cup gear-gathering early.

• The Houston Dynamo is offering a holiday pack for $59, which includes an exclusive Dynamo tailgating chair and two endline tickets to the Dynamo's MLS home opener on Saturday, April 3 against the Kansas City Wizards. Order by Friday, December 18 to ensure delivery by December 24.

• FIFA unveiled the official World Cup ball for 2010 last week – its name is "Jabulani," which is isiZulu for "to celebrate." The eleven colors used in the ball's design represent the 11 players on a soccer team, the 11 South African tribes and the 11 official languages of South Africa. Sales at Houston's Soccer4All stores have been brisk so you may need to order online. The mini version of the ball should be in stock next week.

• Soccer4All also has collector sets of all official World Cup balls from 1970 through 2006 (10 balls total). The sets are available in mini size ($100) and size 5 ($850).

Official adidas 2010 World Cup jerseys have been released for Argentina, France, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Russia, South Africa and Spain. Adult & youth sizes are available at Soccer4All for all teams except France, Mexico and Russia (adult sizes only). The (Nike) World Cup away jersey for the USA will be released in February, and the home jersey will be available in March or April.

• Treat your favorite soccer fan or the whole family to "Bowling with Stu Holden" on Sunday, December 20 at Palace Lanes, 2:30 - 5:30 pm. Cost for the event includes three hours of bowling, mingling with Stu and a few of his teammates, a catered dinner and a limited edition Stu Holden soccer scarf.

Brian Ching & Stu Holden have opened an online store, accessible from both Ching's website and Stu's website. Items for sale include Brian Ching Tshirts, Stu Holden scarves and a few autographed items.

• If you want USA soccer gear, check out the selection of items available for under $20 at the US Soccer store. Or you can help the non-profit US Soccer Foundation by bidding on one of several autographed jerseys at their Ebay auction site. Featured teams include the Houston Dynamo, DC United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and more. All proceeds benefit the foundation, which works to provide children in under-served communities the opportunity to play and enjoy soccer.
