Visit Orlando and Never Leave the Hotel at the Nick Resort

Today I spent my morning with SpongeBob and Dora, my afternoon swimming and getting slimed, and my evening watching a movie in 4-D. All of this fun in Orlando and I never left my hotel. Yes that is correct!  One of my favorite hotels in Orlando has so many resort amenities and fun, you will never have to leave your hotel.  This popular hotel is called the Nickelodeon Suites. This hotel is right down the road from the Walt Disney World Resort, but you really never have to leave the hotel to go to a theme park. Kids of all ages love this resort, with good reason. There are so many activities at the Nick Hotel.

The best area of the Nick Hotel is the main pool area. The main pool area features a stage in the middle of the pool, where they host contests and entertainment all day including the popular sliming! The pool area surrounds the stage on the left and right with plenty of area to swim. On the left of the stage is the pool table, basketball court, miniature golf course, and splash play area for kids under 4. To the right of the stage is the ultimate waterpark with water jets, slides, and loads of fun. This waterpark actually competes with the popular theme water parks around Orlando. It is incredible! Most kids will spend the entire day at the pool and never want to leave.

Beside the incredible pool area, there are lots of great entertainment to enjoy around the resort. There is theater called Studio Nick that hosts nightly shows. There is a movie theater to watch your favorite movies in 4-D. The game room is also a highlight with kids. The Nick Hotel recreational team keep kids of all ages happy and entertained from morning to night.

The Nick Hotel has lots of dining variety if you decide to just eat at the resort. They host a daily Character Breakfast with SpongeBob, Dora, Ming-Ming, and Partick. There is another restaurant and Food Court for quick snacks in the main area called The Mall. There is even a pool bar to grab snacks at the pool area.

Don't worry, parents! There is plenty of fun for you including a fitness center, quiet pool, massages, business center, and “kids night out” program called Nick after Dark. Take that much needed date night while the kids have dinner and activities.

My favorite story about this resort was a family that stayed at the Nick Hotel for a week. They spent thousands of dollars on Disney Theme Park tickets, because the plan was to visit the Disney Theme Parks. They went to Magic Kingdom one day and then asked the kids what they wanted to do on the second day. The kids say play at the Nicek Hotel. This guest spent thousands of dollars on tickets and the kids did not want to even leave the hotel. I can understand why, this hotel really is a kids paradise.

I visited Orlando in August 2008 and stayed the first week at Disney's Pop Century Resort and the second week at the Nickelodeon Resort.

I loved both hotels but I wouldnt stay at the Nick hotel for a whole day when Disney World and Universal were only a short drive away which are the best places on Earth.

But I do agree that if you want to visit Florida cheap then stay at the Nick Hotel and I would visit Downtown Disney which is free parking and free entrance without tickets for Disney shopping or stay on International Drive for hhopping =P

Thanks for the feedback Andy! I know it is hard to come to Orlando and not actually go to the Disney or Universal Theme Parks!
