Wienermobile crashes into Wisconsin home

Doesn't look like the Wienermobile is moving
from this Wisconsin driveway any time soon.

Watch out for that dog! The Wienermobile took an unexpected detour on Friday, July 17, when it crashed into the home of Nick Krupp in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin.

The 22-year-old Oscar Mayer employee behind the wheel was attempting a three-point turn when she pressed on the gas, thinking it was the brake. She ran her 27-foot long ride into the garage and deck, damaging the house's foundation. Luckily, no one was home.

The driver was not harmed, but the Wienermobile is out of service until minor damage can be fixed. A spokesman for Oscar Mayer says that insurance will cover the damage to both the house and the classic hot dog automobile.

Think you could be a better Wienermobile driver, otherwise known as a "hotdogger"? Oscar Mayer looks for people persons who think they'd enjoy promoting hot dogs around the country.

This Wienermobile accident comes weeks after the death of Oscar Mayer, Jr.

I had heard she was out-running a Heinz ketchup truck which was in hot pursuit because EVERYONE knows you don't put ketchup on a hot dog!

Its plural .... so I guess it should have read people people ... yep that is much gooder.

The plural of "people person" can either be "people persons" or "people people". Both are correct so I chose the one that sounded better. Thanks for the comments though.

Who leaves comments like "proofread much?" after an article? How needlessly condescending.
