The psychic from The Poltergeist, Zelda Rubinstein has been taken off life support. A friend reported that her lungs and kidneys had failed and that it was “only a matter of time.” Zelda Rubinstein has been ill at Los Angeles' Cedar Sinai Hospital, and various sources are reporting she is near death.
The 76 year old actress is most known in our circles for her role in all three Poltergeist films as the psychic, Tangina Barrons. She was also the narrator for 15 episodes of the television series, "The Scariest Places on Earth."
Sadly after more than a month in Cedar Sinai, Zelda Rubinstein is not expected to make it much longer. I send my condolences to her friends and family and wish her a comfort and peace.

Zelda came to our Griffith Park Hall to rent it for her birthday party. The ladies at the counter called me up to assist a patron with reservations. When I came to the counter I asked, where is she? Then I heard Zelda's voice, "down here dear". I brought her in my office, we planned out her birthday party and talked for a few hours. Well, she did. She is the sweetest lady I have ever met with wonderful stories. I didn't get much work done that day! My best wishes for you Zelda.
