The Descent: Part 2
All the way back in July we ran a trailer for The Descent: Part 2 that at the time didn’t look terribly impressive. If you check out that previous article, the trailer we posted then has since been removed and replaced with a newer, scarier, and more impressive one. And even better, to match that creepy new trailer, Pathé has released a total of 11 new clips showing us that this sequel will be at least as scary as the original, if not more so.
In The Descent, while still coping with the death of her husband and daughter, Sarah joins her friends for a caving expedition in an unexplored cavern. The silence and darkness of a cave can often play tricks on the mind, and for Sarah this is very much an exploration into her own emotional trauma. But what her friends think are hallucinations soon prove to be very real as the group is attacked by creatures lurking in the deep.
Now in the sequel, the police force Sarah to return to the cave in search of her companions who never made it out. Either Sarah repressed the memory of what happened there for the sake of her sanity, or the police simply didn’t believe her. Either way, the choice to return will almost certainly prove deadly.
