Watch the first 5 minutes of '[REC] 2'

It's not in English, and there's no English subtitles, but who cares? [REC] 2 is the highly anticipated follow-up directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. It picks up where the first one left off, when a medical officer and a S.W.A.T. team outfitted with cameras enter the building to hopefully gain control of the situation.

The first film which was released in 2007, garnered such praise that it was remade into the American version, Quarantine, before the Spanish version even made its way into the country. With a budget of just $1.9 million, it went on to gross more than $27 million worldwide. Not bad for a foreign-language horror film.

The film is not getting a big screen distribution deal here in the United States, but rather is going straight to DVD in July of 2010 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. [REC] 2 has already premiered in Spain and New Zealand, and has been getting positive reviews. The first film did not even have a big screen release in the United States either, so it's no surprise that [REC] 2 is going straight to DVD again.
