With a new Tuesday upon us, comes some new DVD and Blu-Ray releases. Yeah, you can stick with the norm and go with the popular Inglorious Bastards or The Hangover, but where's the fun in that? Instead, you can scare yourself into a ball on the floor with these brand new frightful features.
Beyond Remedy (R Squared Films) - A group of students enter an old mental hospital to examine the phenomenon of fear, only to picked off one by one by a madman playing on their own phobias.
The Butcher (Blu-Ray, Palisades Tartan) - This Korean flick about a group of people captured so they can be in a snuff film is bloody and unforgiving right up until the very end. Shot from either the killers or victims point of view, this one is not for the squeamish.
Mental Scars (R Squared Films) - A woman wants to convert an old junkyard in to a parking lot, the only problem is that the junkyard is built over a Native American burial site, and there's a maniac killer determined to protect the land. With twists, turns and atmosphere, this one will leave you begging for more.
Murder by Decree (Lionsgate Home Entertainment) - Sherlock Holmes hunts Jack the Ripper in what fans and critics alike have called the most exciting and original Holmes movie ever made. Directed by Bob (A Christmas Story) Clark, this one is a must see.
P (Blu-Ray, Palisades Tartan) - A young woman taught the ways of magic by her grandmother, finds work in a Bangkok go-go bar in order to buy medicine for said ailing grandma. When she uses her magical skills to her advantage though, something dark and sinister begins to take over.
Psycho Ward (Lionsgate Home Entertainment) - The Black Creek Detention center has been abandoned for years, but when a group of researchers go to uncover its secrets, they find that the only way out is death, as they get picked off one by one.
Red Canyon (Fireside Releasing) - In Red Canyon, Regina and Devon return to their family home in the badlands of Utah to face the memory of a brutal attack - and put it behind them. But in coming home they awaken a killing rage in a town where everyone has ties that bind.
Trunk (Maverick Entertainment Group) - After a woman is pushed in to the trunk of a car by a psychotic killer, she is forced to listen to him talk about all the ways he will dispose of her. She plays along, but will her compliance help her survive?
