It is either a classic case of misdirection, or one of the biggest scoops of the year in the world of horror. Either way, Sigourney Weaver has let loose some mind-blowing information regarding Ghostbusters 3.
In an interview with Channel 4 for James Cameron's Avatar, Weaver was asked about Ghostbusters 3. She confirmed that the film was indeed happening and that her involvement in it was still not solidified.
"I don't know if I'm going to be in it," she said. "I've had a couple of calls asking 'would you read the script.'
One of the biggest pieces of information to come out of the interview, was Weaver dropping hints at the story.
"I know my little son Oscar - who was kidnapped from me - I think he has grown up to be a Ghostbuster."
While that may surprise most people, that was not even the scoop of the year. Weaver went on to tell Channel 4, "I might be in it; I see nothing wrong with being in it, although I don’t think I will have a big part. I think Bill Murray has a little more to do with it - he’s a ghost."
One of the original Ghostbusters as a ghost? No word on how they are going to pull that off, but with Murray making a string of cameos recently, including the Fall hit, Zombieland, it wouldn't be a shock. It would be a disappointment though, to not see the ghost busting foursome back together again as a whole.
There is still no set date for Ghostbusters 3 to actually go in to production, so between now and then, anything could change.

Wow. Either that was meant to throw everyone in the world off, or she's been attacked by too many aliens. Bill Murray, a ghost? Huh...
.........That's pretty LAME.
Change her name to Sigourney Spoiler. Jeez.
