In March of 2010, director Tim Burton will once again team with actor Johnny Depp in the big screen release of Alice in Wonderland, courtesy of Walt Disney.
19-year-old Alice returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's reign of terror.
This will be the seventh time the director and star have worked together. Their previous films include Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride and Sweeny Todd.
With Burton finishing up post-production on Alice in Wonderland, work has already begun on his next feature, a theatrical version of the 1960's supernatural daytime soap opera, Dark Shadows. Depp will also star as vampire Barnabis Collins, making Dark Shadows the eighth film for the duo.
With Tim Burton's unique style, look for Alice in Wonderland to not be your everyday fairy tale. As seen in the new trailer, the film is taking a more dark turn, something the director is know for.
Alice in Wonderland will be released in theaters and IMAX everywhere March 5, 2010.
