It is also appropriate for Walter to be part of this due to his last charted single "Fool Moon Fire." It explores an encounter with the werewolf in his soul and charted on Billboard's Top 100 in 1983. Please check out the video on YouTube and see Walter become a werewolf in the flesh. Also note that his song and video predated Michael Jackson's "Thriller" by eight or nine months (not that he stole the video idea, but, well, you be the judge). He also has a vampire song on the "Apocalypso Now" CD called "My Love is in Your Veins."
We are honored to present Walter Egan's Terrorble Top 10 Films of a Scary Nature:
1. The Creature from the Black Lagoon - this flick haunted my young dreams for months.
2. Dracula - Bela Lugosi's iconic portrayal set the standard for creepy. "Children of the night, they make such sweet music."
3. I Was a Teenage Werewolf - Starring Michael Landon from my hometown of Forest Hills, NY. Also the inspiration for my "Fool Moon Fire" video.
4. The Horror of Dracula - Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee's masterpiece. When I saw this at age 11 it scared the hell out of me.
5. Invasion of the Body Snatchers - the 1956 classic of cerebral terror.
6. Night of the Living Dead - those Zombies are relentless!
7. Plan 9 from Outer Space - none better for sheer zaniness.
8. Red Planet Mars - when he sees the red "x" on his parents necks its paranoia at its best.
9. The Exorcist - its creepiness is only enhanced by the familiar scenes around Georgetown University, my alma mater (although I guess in many ways "Exorcist III" could be the most frightening film ever made all the more unbelievable with Richard Burton's performance).
10. The Dead Zone - I really love Christopher Walken in this deceptively eerie movie.

Walter Egan will be performing at Kimbros Cafe in Franklin TN with his Walternative Band this Saturday, March 13. His other band, The Malibooz, will release their 5th CD, "Queen's English," next month. In April, Renaissance Records is set to release a 40-song anthology of his records, an Eganthology, if you will. Also a new Walter Egan CD is due out by summertime.
