LA California- another 27 year old cold case miracle.

LA  California, it's on warm day August 16, 1982, 65 year old Hazel Hughes, someone's mother and grandmother was just trying to stay cool.

On the same day in the same apartment complex, 67 year old Cordella Ferguson a mother, and grandmother was doing the very same thing.

Unfortunately for both of these women a man by the name of Victor Alvarez was looking to steal everything they had.

Now 27years later DNA linked Alvarez to burglary, rape and murder of Hazel Hughes a harmless grandmother living out her golden years in sunny Southern California.

Also raped and murdered in a burglary that same day in the same apartments was Cordella Ferguson a harmless grandmother living out her golden years in warm Southern California.

It took 27 years to bring their killer to justice but cold case detective with the use of modern miracle of science got this animal caged.
 

Victor Alvarez will face 1st degree murder charges in California for the murder of Hughes who was sickly and used a walker to get around. He took it all, her possessions, her dignity, her life.

He is currently under investigation for the murder of Cordella Ferguson as well.

Unfortunately at the rate California exercises the death penalty he would have to live another 200 years before they would work through the back log to get to him.

But he will spend all of his golden years in a 6X12 foot cell and likely will find out what it feels like to have his dignity stripped from him.

Now law enforcement will have to do a very complete back ground on Alvarez to check every place this animal has laid down tracks, as he didn't kill and rape two women 27 years ago and then turn into a choir boy!
