Kitchen Lessons: Cuba and Suggested Menu

You can take this Winter season and bring the lessons home. Teach your homeschoolers in the Kitchen. You can explore diverse themes like cooking meals, learning a foreign language and exploring new places right from your kitchen. You can explore and go to the Wilkes County Public Library and find cookbooks with Cuban recipes. You can look for books  about  Cuba and its people. Learn about the roots of Cuba in Spain as well. You can plan out a family meal night or week to explore cuisine from Cuba. You might consider learning more about Salsa dancing and how to make your own dance party themed with Salsa dancing.

You can try to watch Despierta America on Univision and check out some recipes being prepared on the show. You can seek out recipes from cookbooks at the Wilkes Public Library. Then sit down with your teens or smaller homeschoolers and decide what recipes to try. Of course kitchen lessons will bring math, science, history and reading all to the home. Take this out of the box suggestion to teach in the home.
