Most parents want what is best for their children, and the challenges that come against us can become overwhelming at times. As a homeschooling parent, we want influences on our children from others who hold the same world views as us – not from marketing campaigns and other negatives that shape who they become. But, we live in a culture that can make this challenging.
The process of raising our children can become frustrating at times especially in this generation where texting, internet and other social networking can take place that far extends the typical peer pressure of days gone by. But, the process of raising our children should be one filled with joy, not a constant fight that leaves the parent and the children frustrated, angry or in tears.
There is a new book available to help. It’s called 30 Ways in 30 Days to Save Your Family! It’s especially helpful for parents of children ages 6-18, but it’s never too late to restore a broken relationship with your children. This is a new day, and God’s mercies are brand new again. Each new morning gives us the potential of joy.
The Heritage Foundation and How to Save Your Family websites describe the book like this:
Featuring a foreword by Sean Hannity, personal stories from Rebecca, as well as anecdotes from other parents, 30 Ways in 30 Days to Save Your Family offers common sense advice to help parents tackle everyday dilemmas.
This book is helpful for every parent. It lays out thirty practical steps you can put into practice in your home one day at a time. The end result will be peace and a connection or reconnection with your children.
Some of the things you will learn in the book are:
* What to say to your teen as you pass Victoria's Secret in the mall
* How to make a clothing contract with your daughter
* How (and why) to write a letter to your child
* How to slow down your life--and your child's--so that you can enjoy your time together
* How to fight the culture--and not your child
* And much moreA mother of three and a syndicated columnist who writes about family issues, Rebecca Hagelin knows the frustration moms and dads feel. In 30 Ways in 30 Days to Save Your Family, she provides parents with 30 practical actions – concrete, doable steps you can implement one day at a time – to restore peace in your home and reconnect with your children

….with warm, spoken words of love
….by painting a vision for them of a very bright future
With an undying commitment to them as a person, that you’re always there for them - As the family goes, so goes the nation.
