Virtual homeschooling conventions

There's no doubt that the Internet has had profound changes upon the world.  The way we do business today compared to twenty years ago is entirely different. Social networking sites like FaceBook have even managed to change the meaning of the word "friend."

Some of us embrace these changes and enjoy exploring new technology while others shy away, unsure of the potential risks and pitfalls of a high tech lifestyle.

Freedom to choose is a beautiful thing.

One amazing way that the world has changed is the HUGE amount of information that's available.

Homeschooling Conventions  are a great resource for families who are considering taking on the responsibility of their children's education.  Annual conventions in the Seattle area, like the WHO Convention and the WATCH Conference give parents an opportunity to listen to popular speakers and browse vendors. Another bonus is meeting other homeschooling families and making friends who don't think you're crazy for making such an offbeat decision.

Well, welcome to 2010 where conferences like the Ultimate Homeschool Expo take place entirely online.

Here's a sample from Cindy Rushton and Blog talk Radio for more explanation

Cindy Rushton, the convention's organizer will be publishing articles weekly on Yakima's CAPE Homeschool support group website from now until mid April, in preparation for the convention.
