The Homeschool Buyers Co-op is the nation's largest purchasing cooperative for homeschooling families.   This web-site is a wonderful place for homeschoolers to find deals on their curriculum.  It was founded on the principle of the fact that public school districts get educational discounts, why not homeschoolers?  Of course the answer to that is the fact that school districts buy in such large quantities whereas home schools purchase as individuals.  Per their web-site:  "The Co-op changes that by combining the purchasing power of thousands of homeschooling families around the country to give homeschoolers the same purchasing clout as the school districts."

Besides organizing exclusive member discounts for homeschooling families, the Homeschool Buyers Co-op also maintains a large database of free curriculum as well as many other educational resources.  These resources come from places such as National Geographic, PBS, the BBC, the U.S. Department of Education, the Library of Congress and a host of many smaller websites.  While,  yes, you can probably find a lot of this information on your own, the Co-op lists it all here for you to save you the search time  Also in their database is a listing of links to over 170,000 contests and scholarships that are available to homeschoolers!

Take the time to fully explore the entire website for the Homeschool Buyers Co-op.  There is truly something for every homeschool family on here.  And the best of it all?  Membership to this site is absolutely free!  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by checking this site out.  Happy searching!
