Homeschoolers from all over are invited to try snowshoeing, do snow art, learn snow science and more at this month's Homeschool Day at the Petroglyphs. The event will be Tuesday, February 9, when the site will host "Snow Day."
The day will include lessons and fun all about snow.
Some of the planned activities include:
- Learn the science behind snow
- Read snow stories
- Play snowflake games
- Do snowflake art
- Use snowshows (weather permitting)
- Make some tasty snow treats
There will be activities for all ages, including toys and books for little ones.
Admission is $4 for ages 6 and up. Children under 6 and MNHS members are free.
Interested families are asked to RSVP to the Petroglyphs at 507-628-5591 or by email (jefferspetroglyphs@mnhs.org) so enough staff and supplies are on hand.
The Jeffers Petroglyphs has been hosting Homeschool Days several times a year for seven years. Each event is about a different theme. View the slide show to see pictures of past events.
