Tomorrow, June 23rd, is National Public Service Day. We want to encourage you and your student to get involved and help by performing community service in our area. There are several ways to do this.
Junior Civitan
Junior Civitan is a group that raises money and uses that money to perform various community service projects. Junior Civitan’s members are active members of the community that help in a variety of way. For more info visit www.civitan.com or our local chapter www.cottagehilljuniorcivitan.com

Volunteer Match
This site is great for finding something that you enjoy doing and matching you to an organization. You can put in your location and it pops up all types of opportunities to service in. To find an opportunity go to www.volunteermatch.org
Host an exchange student
This is something that my family will be doing this year and possibly for years to come. Face the World places students from other countries in your home for either a semester or a school year. You get to choose the student to fit your family. This is a way to get the whole family involved in giving back. For more info go to www.facetheworld.org
So as you can see you are only limited by your desires to be involved with public service and volunteering. So get out there and give back!
