Is The American Public Fed Up With The All Health Care All Of The Time President?
The public has made that fact very clear in the polls, at town halls with members of Congress, in op-eds and any other place that opinions get registered. The citizenry of the United States does not want the health care plan that the Democrat party is currently trying to jam through by using every legislative gimmick, carrot and stick technique or arm twisting tactic at it's disposal.
President Obama Focuses On Nothing Else But Health Care
Now there are many pressing issues in the world today, not the least of which are our homeland security, a nuclear Iran, jobs, Middle East peace, etc. I have gone over these items ad-nauseam, but week after week am forced to do it all over again.
Why? Because the channel never changes, the music never stops, the page never turns and the song remains the same. President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid beating the proverbial dead horse and stuck between a rock and a hard place having boxed themselves into a political corner.
On cliche Friday, the leadership on the left has bet the ranch on this policy, and have left themselves no choice but to pursue it to the finish line, political consequences be damned.
President Obama Postpones Trip To Indonesia, Guam and Australia
I will not be going into specifics of all of the taxpayer funded trips the President has taken around the country to lobby for this health care legislation. What I will ask is why, after the umpteen months of pushing for it, it is still necessary to go out to explain to the American people about what the bill is, what it will theoretically do for them and why it is critical that it be done right now.
Perhaps, just perhaps, it is time for the President to begin doing some of his presidential chores. For the good of the people, not the good of his political legacy.
This will be the last I speak to the health care situation, at least until the next time!

The passage of a health care reform bill has been discussed by Presidents and never made the number 1 priority by any, until Obama. He speaks about many other subjects as well, but dealing with the health care crisis in the US is far more important than trips to other countries. I think his priorities are right even if the original concepts behind reform have been co-opted by special interests. The tea party group seems to think so. They have spent a fortune lobbying against it and in favor of Big Pharma. This is not the time to change the subject. It is time to force the right bill through Congress and be heard. I say...eliminate insurance and that will solve the problem. Let the government be the insurer. Then, they can put limits on medical costs.
