Saturday humor: President Obama and religion (cartoon)
On August 21st in the article above, I had used an example of a previous Obama event that is helping to contribute to the nations uncertainty as to the true religion of the President. I had discussed a speech he had given at Georgetown University, and the White House request for the covering up of a monogram representing the name of Jesus.
Why Does His Religion Matter?
Now whether Obama is Christian or Muslim would not have mattered during the presidential campaign, other than as one more fact for the electorate to ponder. Would he have still been elected? No one can say for sure although one could surmise the answer. The problem is that President Obama said he was Christian, ran as a Christian and in fact the radical nature of his spiritual leader, the Reverend Wright, was a campaign issue.
Say What You Mean And Mean What You Say
Unlike many presidents who make Sunday mass a permanent part of their routine, President Obama has helped to contribute to the nations uncertainty over his beliefs.
"He has failed to make church attendance here part of his routine, preferring apparently to worship in private...that lack of visible adherence to his Christian faith provides those who challenge his religious allegiances...with enough circumstantial evidence..." (Korea Times)
Perhaps Most Telling Of All, Christmas 2009
At Christmas in 2009, a time when the majority of previous presidents celebrated the holiday with church attendance, the Obama's, on vacation in Hawaii, did not attend either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day services. This is quite curious, although in step with the fact that according to an article in Time magazine, the President had attended church three times in the year that he and his family had first been in the White House.
The answer therefore seems to be this. The American public deeply questions the President's faith, and while the answer to whether or not Obama is a Muslim may or may not ever be known, he is certainly not much of a Christian.
Just one more example of political expediency from what has turned into an extremely inept presidency?

Some parts of the Bible are certainly open to interpretation, however. Jesus clearly communicated that we are not to judge another man's faith. Congratulations on your promotion!
This is not a judgement of any religion. It is a commentary on the fact that if President Obama is Catholic then he is Catholic. If he is Muslim then he is Muslim. The problem is that nobody is sure what he is, and deceit is not a good quality for a president.
I thought from day ONE that Obama was a closet Muslim. The truth will come out eventually , even though he has duped the Americans so far. From Annie in Australia.
