An outside editorial in today's Flint Journal by Tim Burns, Public Affairs Director for the Better Business Bureau Serving Eastern Michigan offers some excellent advice. Click here to read the complete text.
- Donate in-kind items that can be used or sold by the charity. Broken toys and torn clothing are inappropriate.
- Shop at the area thrift stores to support the cause. (Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, Goodwill, Purple Heart)
- Donate your unused car.
- Volunteer.
- Become an advocate.
- Give even a small amount of money. According to Burns:
While there are many ways to give this holiday season, keep in mind that even a small cash gift often produces big benefits.

Take care-----Mic
Excellent reminder! We always "adopt" a family through the Catholc society and provide trees, food, decorations, gifts and neccesities. It is always a rewardable way to give back. and the kids have always pickd out the toys for the family as well as toys r us.
