It's official. Tiger Woods has headed off to rehab in Arizona. Will he try to mend his ways as a New Years Resolution -- or is this a publicity stunt set up by his handlers, hoping if they cage the celeb and blame his marital affairs and deceit on addiction rather than a colossal ego and seemingly bullet proof and sterling reputation? Sponsors would like to think so; they all hope he'll learn to JUST SAY NO. [Dec. 29, 2009]

TIGER CAUGHT BY THE TAIL

Sponsors have already lost a fortune. Some say millions while others say billions.

The celebrity athlete is about to lose a bundle of his personal cash and assets in a divorce proceeding -- one likely to be filed in the coming months by humiliated wife Elin Nordegren.

Porn stars, alleged prostitutes (who deny all charges made by the public or madames), and cocktail waitresses keep coming out to tell tales of the celeb's sexual powers over them, and mistress number one Rachel Uchitel has been pining away hoping he and wife Elin will split for good (supposedly) while she herself has lurked in the wings in the Florida community where the yacht "Privacy" is moored.

So how can Tiger recoup his public and private losses? By entering the "Just Say No" rehab -- one for sexual deviants. We mean sex addicts. Or those who suffer from addictive personalities: take your pick.

Tiger Woods publicity agents have.

TIGER WOODS ENTERING REHAB A PUBLICITY STUNT?

US Headlines Examiner Cindy Adams says, "X17 Online reports that he’s been there for several days and that his “handlers forced him to enter the program. They feel that if he blames his cheating on addiction, the public will forgive him.”"

The Hugffington Post is already spinning the story and claiming the celebrity's actions may be forgivable because Woods may be addicted to the sleeping drug Ambien and pain killer Vicoden.

We have a one word response for this PR game: pshaw. Not matter how they spin this, Woods is guilty of acting like a spoiled Hollywood celebrity idiot -- and guilty of serious un-sportsmen like conduct for an athelete who was supposed to be playing a gentleman's game.

[Had he been playing pick up games with NBA buddies like Dennis Rodman, Charles Barkley, and Michael Jordon professionally, perhaps his followers base would be different... but suffice it to say his fans who have supported his golf games year after year feel seriously disappointed that he has made himself common.]

While an appetite for sex is normally something considered healthy and good, the men (and women) who elect to leave the single life and take a vow of fidelity to the family life and marriage while leading secret lives are dysfunctional humans (that's for sure).

Had Tiger Woods been wild and single, sponsors would not have been affected so greatly by the loss of his squeaky clean public image.

Had he elected not to marry or have children, his family would not be so embarrassed by his actions.

One thing is certain -- the women Tiger Woods has elected to give away his power to have done him more that sexual favor services. They have stolen away what should have been a perfect life with his wife and young children, too.

If all Woods learns as a celebrity in rehab is that he's a fool, many in the public arena will think the psychotherapy to break his cheating habits are good.

Let's just hope his goal is not to force Elin to come home or so he can claim she abandoned a "changed man".

EDITORIAL NOTE: We'll keep our fingers crossed that Elin can pick up the pieces of her broken life for the sake of her kids, can keep custody, and will tell Tiger the Cheetah exactly how and when to go screw.

We know he cheated. It's over. It happens daily...he's a celeb so it makes it worse? Not really.

Been there and done that. If he sprouts wings and grows a halo the damage is done to his relationship with his wife. It can never be trusting.....and never should be.

I think that the letter posted by Furman Bisher is a publicity stunt created by Tiger's team to present him as a victim and as a way to explain his disappearance since the scandal broke up. They are trying to protect the "Tiger brand" at all cost after the media is reporting that Tiger's stocks are down everywhere. The paramedics and the neighbors stated that Tiger had a bloody lip, not the injuries of the magnitude reported on Mr. Bisher's letter. Tiger’s team is trying to set the way for Tiger’s comeback in 2010 as a victim, not as the offender he is, but the public will not buy it! Tiger has disgraced himself as a husband and as a father.

The true victims on all this are: Elin Nordegren and her two small children. I hope that someday Elin Nordegren will find a good and decent man that will respect and love her and the children. A man that could be a better father figure and role model to the children than Tiger Woods
