It would be really nice if celebrities did a little homework before lending thier names and support to organizations such as HSUS. This is a political organization NOT an animal resuce organization. Check into their funding and spending and you will find that less than .005% of the over $82 million dollars they collected from donations last year actually went to rescuing any animals. Actually, they do no rescuing at all, they donated less than $450,000 last year to genuine rescue organizations across the country. Maybe someone should blow the lid off of HSUS. Over $31 million dollars each year goes to salaries, 40+ employees make over $100,000 a year. $20 million is spent on campaign contributions and lobbyiest, $24 million in advertsising, oh yea like Wendy Malick and the plea for donations. This for profit group does next to nothing to help animals and animals would be better served by people giving to thier local SPCA. Then some animals will be helped.
