Nowadays, you may be wondering about your true purpose in life. Although you may think your purpose is connected to the job that you perform on a daily basis, you should also consider a broader purpose for all the souls inhabiting the Earth.
Your life purpose involves your sense of being, not doing. It is about living happily and abundantly, and bringing that joy and abundance to the world. Knowing this can help you reframe your thoughts, feelings, and actions to a more purposeful intention. You can focus on enjoyment and serving in the moment, instead of worrying or being frustrated about the past or the future.
Because people spend most of their day performing in a professional capacity, life purpose is often associated with a career aspect. Although your purpose extends beyond the work that you do, how you feel about your current job situation should be examined thoroughly. Are you truly happy? Do you feel like you're making an honorable contribution? Are you following your natural talents and interests? Can you do better and do you deserve more?
Before you quit your job, remember this: Just because you may not exude ecstasy when you show up for work doesn't mean that's not where you should be. For example, think about Jim Carrey's character in "Bruce Almighty." Bruce was a disgruntled employee who played the role of a victim, never seeming to be satisfied. After an enlightening experience, he shifted his perspective, made the best of what he had, and really started to enjoy his life, his work, and the happiness he brought to others.
Author Doreen Virtue advises, "...you needn't struggle to find your life's purpose...Don't concern yourself with quitting or starting jobs or professions. Instead, follow the path of your natural desires, talents, and passions with the full intention of bringing joy to yourself and others." Dr. Virtue works closely with the angelic realms and often suggests calling upon Archangel Michael and Archangel Chamuel to assist you in following your soul's purpose and finding a fulfilling career.
