Capital area residents, do you have any reason to be in Orange County, New York this weekend? Well you do now. It is the time for the giant annual fall garage sale to benefit the Warwick Valley Humane Society (WVHS). The event will take place this Saturday and Sunday, September 5th and 6th from 10am to 4pm both days.

The weather forecast for the Hudson Valley looks great for this Labor Day weekend, but rain or shine, you will be able stop by the Humane Society and search for garage sale bargains. A scenic two hour drive will bring Albany residents to the site at 48 Public Works Drive off Kings Highway in Warwick. This annual fundraiser is very popular among locals, but visitors are more than welcome. “It’s worth the trip,” declares Suzyn Barron, Warwick Valley Humane Society president.

Understanding the connection between integrative veterinary medicine and shelter animal medicine, this local humane organization has enlisted the input of a local holistic vet to help provide rescued animals with a wide array of treatment options. The sprawling annual garage sale is another way Warwick Humane reaches out to the community to help pets in need. Everything from pet supplies to furniture will be available this weekend.

For more information, contact the shelter at 845-986-2473.
