Four Canadian studies, involving 2,000 people, have found that people who received the seasonal flu vaccine were more susceptible to the swine flu virus.
The Reader's Forum section of the September 29 Deseret News contained an article referencing a website where this study was reported. I have long been against the annual flu vaccination, and especially against this swine flu vaccination (see the articles I wrote previously about this.)
A survey was made of general practitioners' attitudes towards the vaccination--would they or would they not take it, themselves? Twenty-nine percent of those surveyed said, "No, I will not take it." To add insult to injury, another twenty-nine percent said they were undecided about it. Not that they won't take it--but they're taking another long look at it.
One of the Canadian studies suggests that people who have been vaccinated against seasonal flu are twice as likely to catch swine flu. People think that vaccinations protect them, but this one seems to be doing exactly the opposite.
