Workout tip #1 for burning off that Thanksgiving meal

Jumping rope is usually long forgotten and only remembered when one is reminiscing about their childhood, when they use to skip rope or play double dutch. What's great about this activity is people don't have to be outdoors to do it. You can be in your garage, living room, hotel room and it works your body out. It's great for burning off that Thanksgiving meal.

 

How jumping rope can benefit one's health and body:

  2. It optimizes cardiovascular conditioning and maximizes athletic skills by combining agility, coordination, timing and endurance.

This is a 15-minute jump rope workout that is by Rusty Moore (feel free to customize it):

  • Stand in front of a clock or timer of some sort
  • Jump Rope for 3 minutes to warm up
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Jump rope as quickly as possible for 60 seconds
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Jump Rope as quickly as possible for 60 seconds
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Repeat this alternating pattern for 15-20 minutes
