Desiree Jennings and her doctor share about her rapid recovery from vaccine toxicity injury

Dr. Rashid Buttar began working with neurologically impaired Desiree Jennings after being connected with her by Generation Rescue, the organization supported by Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey in its work raising awareness about biomedical autism treatments and hazards of vaccines. Jennings' condition, diagnosed as dystonia, appeared about 10 days after she received a flu shot at a local grocery store. The debilitating condition stumped conventional doctors, who claim they have no cure for dystonia, a condition usually triggered by injury or poisoning. Fanatical defenders of vaccines have claimed Desiree's condition was psychogenic in nature, essentially saying it was created by her mind. That is a hypothesis that can't be proven and is only made based on ruling out any possible physical level cause.  In this case, there was the obvious likely biochemical trigger of the influenza vaccine, which contains a toxic heavy metal compound as a preservative.

According to Desiree's website, She has "been diagnosed by her treating physician, Dr. Rashid A. Buttar, with a number of conditions including but not limited to Acute, Viral Post Immunization Encephalopathy and Mercury Toxicity with secondary respiratory and neurological deficits." The statement on Desiree's site continues "The treatments with Dr. Buttar at the Center for Advanced Medicine and Clinical Research in Charlotte, NC are working, and the results are nothing short of amazing. Jennings can now walk and talk normally throughout the vast majority of the day and the seizures/convulsions have significantly decreased. Although her full recovery will take an undetermined amount of time, her family is now for the first time, convinced she will make a complete recovery. She is now more than ever, driven by a desire to educate others to be informed of the potential side effects caused by vaccines and prevent others from suffering a similar fate."

Dr. Buttar has spoken publicly on a radio show, sharing about his experience treating Desiree and assisting in her recovery.  There are many physicians and alternative medicine practitioners using detoxification and biomedical model therapies to help people recover from vaccine-triggered illnesses such as those suffered by Jennings.  Autism has drawn a great deal of attention in this regard, yet many additional illnesses are likely fostered by vaccines or other toxic exposures.

It's not "fanatical defenders of vaccines" who question Ms. Jenning's disorder. It's neurologists and fellow dystonia patients: www[DOT]wcnc[DOT]com/news/local/stories/wcnc-110409-mw-dystonia-questions.284edb6e8.html

Meanwhile, her doctor, Rashid Buttar is currently facing charges of unprofessional conduct: www[DOT]charlotteobserver[DOT]com/local/story/967718.html

For a reasoned examination of the facts: www[DOT]examiner[DOT]com/x-13791-Baltimore-Disease-Prevention-Examiner~y2009m11d4-Records-show-case-of-dystonia-is-psychogenic-and-not-related-to-flu-vaccine

I don't doubt she suffered but it's unlikely related to the vaccination.

Is this what passes for journalism nowadays? It's heart-wrenching. Not really sure if this is a for real news website or not though...

Ignorance is truly bliss! Keep your opinions to yourself. Without knowing things for sure, it is inappropriate to come to any productive conclusion. As I said often before elsewhere, just because someone has a degree / pretends to be an authority and goes on record by regurgitating information without links to quality independent scientific research (done not by funding from drug companies) does not make them smart nor correct. Just look at the history health care. It has certainly gotten better than during the middle ages, but it is by no means the perfect science most believe it is. Pharmaceutical Science as well as health care in general is still in its infancy. It is and always will be a trial and error field. There is agreement that if medication or a procedure can be reproduced with “acceptable” room for error, it is considered “SAFE”. You take the risk – without the ability to collect if things simply do not work out for you specifically as expected. Stupid is as Stup

Dr. Steven Novella is a neurologist, and has a careful and well-reasoned response to the Jennings case:

    www[dot]theness[dot]com/neurologicablog/?p=1152

He's not fanatical - he simply accepts the preponderance of evidence that demonstrates the safety and efficacy of vaccines, and is unimpressed by scare tactics, fear-mongering, and anecdotal non-evidence.

Man, you people are either idiots or you're one neuron short of a synapse! I've met the doctor in question. He's been pursued by the medical board for the last 10 years. For the last 2 years since they charged him (based on 4 complaints by people who weren't even patients or had ever gone to his clinic), he's been saying that if there is any truth to whtat the board says which is he's "dangerous" and "unethical", he demands the board do what their stated mission is which is to protect the public. They havn't. So the board is either lying or their incompetent. Plus, the guy has practiced medicine for 19 years without a single malpractice case against him or even a complaint by a real patient until this...Dr Buttar must be doing something right if you all are so against him. Your agenda is what seems more than suspicious to me. You're probably hired by big pharma to negatively blog and you think the public actually listens to your bulls**t? Laws should exist against being so stupid.

The fact that a few minutes of quackery can restore this woman's health is proof the problem was psychogenic. Any true neurological toxicity pathology would take weeks if not months to improve.

I couldn't get the story of this young girl out of my mind. So I did some research on my own. I have studied to be a Massage Therapist with training in Oriental and Alternative Medicine here in NY. I found connects between Dopamine levels and high heavy metal levels with adverse affects on the human body. One being spasms and shaking such as those associated with Parkinson's Disease. I am certainly not authorized nor educated enough to assume that this information is in anyway a diagnosis, but I did want to pass on what little bit may be of help. Sometimes its the simple things that spark more research. I believe in "helping" the body heal itself and not taking that ability away with too much chemical interference. I hope she continues to improve and that all modalities of healing can come together and respect each others views. For isn't it our goal, as healthcare providers, to give our patients and clients the ability to learn about themselves and make educated decisions?

It's completely made up. She just wanted the attention because you can not recover from Dystonia.

Physicians at Johns Hopkins Hospital as well as Fairfax Hospital examined Desiree Jennings. These are very highly respected institutions, right up there with the Mayo Clinic. There findings? Desiree Jennings was diagnosed as having dystonia. If you have seen the videos of Desiree it is quite obvious that this woman was terribly ill. There is nothing psychogenic about it. The current thinking in the US medical system is that you can only manage this disease, you cannot cure it. How wrong they are. Dr. Buttar's treatment has proven immensely successful in improving symptoms of this disease, perhaps even curing it. He has been able to detoxify the patient of mercury (from the flu shot- thimerosal). Mercury can cause severe damage to the nervous system, it is a neurotoxin. Our medical system is in a state of denial about this, and big pharma is right there as the chief culprit. There are megabucks to be made on selling vaccines to an ignorant public. Now the truth is coming out.

@Curtis: Can you name a doctor at Johns Hopkins who treated Jennings? Did you interview a Johns Hopkins doctor about Jennings or the flu vaccine? Of course, you can't and you didn't. Here, I'll help you discover what doctors at this highly respected institution think about flu and vaccines: www.hopkinsmedicine.org/flu/H1N1_Media_Resources.html.

There's no evidence Jennings was ever diagnosed with dystonia.

Were that the case she could have released her records.

Since she hasn't, there's no proof of dystonia, no matter what she tells a reporter.

I'll also point out that Buttar is not medically qualified to treat any neurological condition, since he lacks any certifications in that area.

Please remember his standard of practice was found to be so deficient he has already been prohibited from treating children and those with cancer.

    Bill:
Jennings was diagnosed with Dystonic at Johns Hopkins, apparently to explain her symoptomns.

'Dr. Steven Novella is a neurologist, and has a careful and well-reasoned response to the Jennings case:'

Hilary, Novella never examinde Desiree Jennings. Long distance 'diagnosis such as his is UNethical./ The fact that he made it shows his pro-vaccine zealotary.

The importance of the Jenninsg case is shown by th fanacti attaks made against her and her treating physician Dr Buttar. Her face book and email accounts have been hacked into, and wiki has set up a hatchet piece on her.

In fact he is and has, Bill. BUT Novella and others are NOT qualified to comment publically on the acse as they never examined her at all. The fact they have , shows a very unethical bias, which should be brought to the attention of whatever medica board deals with this

'Were that the case she could have released her records.

Dystonia is a label for a set of symptomns Desiree showed. The treament provided by Dr Buttar shows clearly she was poisoned by heavy metals, preumably contained in the vaccine

ah yes, Mary,..neither of your groups has actually examined Desiree...As for misconduct charges against Dr Buttar, Novella is the one who needs to have misconduct charges placed against him. Dr Buttar's only crime is to heal the sick.
Since when is a dystonia patient qualified to diagnose???

'I don't doubt she suffered but it's unlikely related to the vaccination. '

Having attacked her Desirees physician, now you try to cover your posterior. You are not really concerned for her, but dont want to appear callous. The first symptomns she showed were 'flu-like symptomns'...confirming the vaccine was the cause. Steven Novella's inability to recognise this renders his judement at best as unfit

Jed, what are you so afraid of? Remember, according to your hero and fellow anti-semite, Ryke-Geerd Hamer, every disease is caused by psycho-emotional conflict. If that's true, vaccines could neither prevent nor cause disease. If Hamer is wrong, you still have nothing to fear because Rashid Buttar has the cure for any damage caused by the evil vaccines!
Oh, look Jed, Brian is a supporter of criminal doctors, just like you.

It's highly doubtful that Johns Hopkins or Inova hospitals or even Desiree Jennings herself ever said that her dystonia diagnosis or flu shot reaction diagnosis came from the hospital doctors. Google and read this: "A Cheerleader's Unbelievable Flu Vaccine Reaction" on Selectsmart.
