Let’s face it. Most of us lead hectic and busy lives. It’s hard enough to get through the day without adding yet another task to our to-do list. Check Your Batteries Day is not your average, ho-hum fun holiday. This special day of the year may very well be a lifesaver.
Check Your Batteries Day is a yearly event that coincides with Daylight Savings Time. Both events take place annually on the second Sunday of March, which happens to be March 8th this year. As we move our clocks forward one hour, Check Your Batteries Day serves as a gentle reminder to test and replace batteries on devices such as carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, as well as flashlights, clocks, remote controls and other battery operated devices.
