On July 21, Boynton Beach Police were dispatched to the Four Sea Suns Condominium to investigate a suspicious incident. Apparently, two of the board members took it upon themselves to search out a mysterious water leak in a supposedly empty apartment unit.
The unit was not empty, however. One of the board members, Mr. Virgil Wilkinson, entered the unit using the spare set of keys provided to the HOA, and noticed that the bathroom door was locked. He then drew his gun, which he always keeps with him since his time on the Akron, Ohio police department, and ordered whoever was inside to come out.
Mr. William Korienek emerged from the bathroom, and informed Wilkinson that he had permission to be in the unit. Wilkinson then pointed his gun at Korienek and ordered him not to move as he was calling the police.
After a police investigation, it was determined that Mr.Korienek had lived in the residence since 2007, and had written permission from the unit owner to be there. The owner then informed the police that the HOA only had permission to enter the unit in case of a severe emergency, such as a fire, and that he had not been informed about the possible water leak, or the fact that the HOA was going to check it out.
At that point, Mr. Wilkinson was placed under arrest for False Imprisonment, Aggravated Assault, and Armed Burglary. He is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Jail.
