Before corporate John Cappas was even born, hotdog vendors just like the one in this old black and white photo sold mouthwatering wieners. Photograper Arthur Rothstein captured this Kosher Hot dog vendor on Lower Broadway in New York City.
"I've got the best weenies in Chicago," he announced.
His plans are to turn Johnny's Wee Nee Wagon into a hot dog playground with rides for the kids. If he can reproduce this old intersection on Lower Broadway in NYC on his hot dog lot, Cappas will make much more than the $25,000 a week that he made selling drugs as a teenager.

In this photo taken Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, Johnny Cappas, co-owner of Johnny's WeeNee Wagon, moves his Lucky Dog, a gift from his girlfriend, outside his hot dog stand in Markham, Ill. Cappas, a one-time "drug kingpin" as the papers called him, was making $25,000 a week selling cocaine before he went to federal prison in 1989 for what turned out to be a 15-year term. He was released from prison in 2004 and this summer with a partner bought the hot dog stand. (AP Photo/M. Spencer Green)
