Born and raised in Oklahoma, David received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering at the University of Oklahoma. In addition to his degree from OU, he also received a commission in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Distinguished Military Graduate. He served in Germany, Vietnam, and the United States before resigning his commission to enter civilian life as an engineer. David's interest in Oklahoma history was fostered by his secondary school teachers, his parents, and several of his antecedents who participated in much of the history of Indian Territory and the State of Oklahoma. David's grandfather, Albert Rennie, was a pioneer attorney in Indian Territory after following three of his older brothers to "the Territories" in 1883. Reach David with questions or comments here.
