If you are looking for excellent historical fiction novels on the War of the Roses then check out Sandra Worth.  Sandra Worth has made a name for herself in writing novels set during the War of the Roses period and focusing on historical figures such as King Richard III, Anne Neville, Elizabeth of York, and more.  Her novels are critically acclaimed, but most importantly, they are fascinating and enjoyable to read.

Before Sandra Worth became an award-winning author, she received a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Toronto.  Eventually she became an author who focused on a time period she was well-versed in and loved.  "The Rose of York" trilogy focuses on the much maligned Richard III, his adored wife Anne Neville, the lost Princes in the Tower, and the reign of a king blackened in history.  Another novel that Sandra Worth has written is a Romeo/Juliet style love story during the War of the Roses between Lord Montagu and Isobel, a ward of the cunning Queen Margaret d'Anjou.  Her most recent novel has focused on  Elizabeth of York, the daughter of King Edward IV and first Tudor queen.

Sandra Worth has won numerous awards.  Some awards have included Best Historical Biography of the Year, Best Historical Book of the Year, and Best Single Title of the Year.  She has also been bestowed the Francis Ford Coppola/Ray Bradbury/Moxie Films-sponsored New Century Writers Award.  Her work has been translated in Spain and will soon be translated in Russia.   Sandra Worth's upcoming novel will be "Pale Rose of England: A Novel of the Tudors" which focuses on Catherine Gordon, the wife of the pretender to the throne, Perkin Warbeck.

Sandra Worth has written deliciously fascinating books on the War of the Roses period that have given us detailed and sympathetic looks into controversial figures such as Richard III.  Her novels are a delight to read and completely original and well-written.
